Transcript.so is operated by Samywise LTD. In these terms, "we", "us", and "our" refer to Samywise LTD. By using Transcript.so, you agree to these terms. Please read them — they are short and written to be understood.

The service

Transcript.so converts audio and video files into text using automated speech recognition. Transcription output is generated by AI and may contain errors; you are responsible for reviewing it before relying on it.

Your content

You retain all rights to the files you upload and the transcripts we generate for you. You grant us only the limited rights needed to store and process your files to provide the service. You are responsible for having the necessary rights to any content you upload, including any required consent from people who were recorded.

Acceptable use

You may not use the service to process content that is unlawful, that infringes the rights of others, or that was recorded illegally. You may not attempt to disrupt the service, circumvent plan limits, or resell access without our permission.

Plans and billing

Free usage is subject to daily limits. Paid plans are billed in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the paid period. You may request a full refund within 14 days of any payment — see our Refund Policy for details.

Our payments and subscriptions are handled by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record for all purchases. This means Paddle is responsible for processing your payment, handling billing enquiries, and issuing invoices, and their terms and privacy policy also apply to the transaction.

Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be announced on this site, and continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
